Call for Papers
The 22nd Triennial Congress of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA) is scheduled to take place at ICC JEJU in Jeju, South Korea, from August 25 to 29, 2024. This prestigious event, hosted by the IEA and organized by the Ergonomics Society of Korea (ESK), anticipates the participation of over 1,500 delegates from more than 70 countries.

Under the theme "Better Life Ergonomics for Future Humans," the 2024 Congress will explore how emerging technologies can enhance the quality of human life, both at work and during leisure activities. Additionally, significant attention will be given to the application of human factors and ergonomics (HFE) in improving technologies. The program will feature theme-related sessions, but the Congress will also encompass a wide range of traditional and emerging HFE topics and their practical applications.

All oral presentation sessions will be conducted in a hybrid format. Presenters have the choice of delivering their presentations in-person or online. Similarly, participants have the option to attend these sessions either in-person or online. Please note that the format may be subject to change.

Proposal Submission Format
Authors are encouraged to refer to the following proposal templates when submitting proposals.
Full Paper Submission Options
Option 1 – Submit A Full Paper
Full papers undergo a rigorous review process, with anonymity and double-blinding, and only those meeting the standards are included in the conference proceedings. These proceedings are published in the Springer Book Series: Springer Series in Design and Innovation (SSID), which is indexed in Scopus. If publishing your research is a priority, this option is ideal for you. Selected papers will be published in peer-reviewed journals, such as Applied Ergonomics, Human Factors, International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics, Ergonomics, and WORK (in alphabetical order).
Full paper submissions should follow the template below and should be 6 pages or less (including the reference section).
The submission link for full paper submissions will be sent to authors whose proposals have been evaluated and accepted.
Option 2 – Submit Proposal Only
We understand that for many researchers, submitting a full paper can be a daunting task. This option is designed for authors whose major reasons exclude publishing.
